Blok app wins gold at Bookmark Awards

Summary
Blok's groundbreaking app won gold at the Bookmark Awards on Thursday evening. This app allows buyers the opportunity to have a 360degree walkabout of what a yet-to-be-build apartment will look like once complete.

Blok's groundbreaking app is now also an award-winning app.

Blok’s app, which helps buyers visualize what a yet-to-be-built apartment will look like, won gold at Thursday night’s Bookmark Awards in the tech innovation category.

“Winning such a prestigious award means that Blok is not only being recognised for its work in property and urbanism, but also that we are pushing the limits in innovation,” says MD and Co-Founder of Blok, Jacques van Embden.

The app, which is available for free download from the App Store, was created by Blok to bridge the understanding that off-plan buyers face when making a significant investment decision, based on 2D plans that many people struggle to visualise.

The app showcases each apartment and gives a 360degree walked through, using a gamification-type movement, with certain clickable areas giving more information on materials used, finishings, dimensions and photo-realistic renders of not only the apartment interiors, but surrounding area and views too.
